English Shipbuilding Jobs sacrificed to buy Scottish votes to sink their Independence Referendum!

This is our press release at today's sad news for Portsmouth and for England's 1,000 years of Naval history. What do you think?

English Shipbuilding Jobs sacrificed to buy Scottish votes to sink their Independence Referendum!
Today's story of MoD shipbuilding jobs in Portsmouth being lost and their capacity being transferred to the Clyde is a nakedly political story of chicanery and deceit at the heart of Government, the MoD and at the peril of English defence capability. http://news.sky.com/story/1164634/bae-announces-1775-shipyard-job-losses
It was becoming obvious that the huge English taxpayer subsidy to Scotland under the Barnett formula (which the House of Lords reported in 2009 was £32 Billion a year) was no longer sufficient to guarantee a NO vote so the motive for this cut is to bribe Scottish Voters in the heartland of Scotland's central belt which has already been ear-marked as the crucial swing battle-zone in next year's Independence referendum.
This is being done by a government headed by a man who has already declared that his National Identity is not loyal to English Interests when he told the BBC's Andrew Marr that: I am a passionate Unionist, ... and I'm a Cameron, there is quite a lot of Scottish blood flowing through these veins.

Robin Tilbrook, the Chairman of the English Democrats said:- "Not only have the MoD been dishonest about their motives in cutting well over 1,000 English jobs but also what happens to England's ability to defend herself if Scotland votes for Independence anyway. This is an extraordinarily foolish and incompetent decision made for the worst of motives which is reckless as to English National Interests!"

Further information from:

Robin Tilbrook
Chairman, The English Democrats,

Notes to Editors:
The recently published 2011 Census showed that England has over 32 million (32,007,983) people (or 60.4%) who have stated they have only English National Identity. A further 4.8 million (4,820,181) people (or 9.1%) stated that their National Identity is 'English and British'.

In sharp contrast with this nearly 70% being English there were only a mere 10 million (10,171,834) people (or 19.2%) who claimed to be 'British Only'. A substantial proportion of these 'British Only' appear, from cross referencing with the results of the Census' ethnicity question, to be of non English ethnicity (ie Scottish, Welsh or Irish).

The Office for National Statistics nationality statistics can be found here)>>>http://www.ons.gov.uk/ons/publications/re-reference-tables.html?edition=tcm%3A77-286262. The Nationality results are at: 2011 Census: KS202EW National identity, local authorities in England and Wales.

Demand for English Independence is increasing rapidly in England and although reactive to the movement for Scottish Independence it is not dependent on it. The June 2011 ComRes survey done for the BBC showed that then there was 36% support for England to be a fully Independent Country irrespective of the result of the Scottish Independence Referendum.

Key facts about the English Democrats:

The English Democrats launched in 2002. The English Democrats are the English nationalist Party which campaigns for a Parliament for England, First Minister and Government, with at least the same powers as the Scottish ones within a Federal UK; for St George’s Day to be England’s National holiday; for Jerusalem to be England’s National Anthem; for a Referendum to leave the EU; for an end to mass immigration; for the Cross of St George to be flown on all public buildings in England.

The English Democrats are England’s answer to the Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru.

The English Democrats’ greatest electoral successes to date include winning the Directly Elected Executive Mayoralty of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and the 2012 referendum; We won the referendum which triggered a referendum to give Salford City an Elected Mayor; In 2012 we saved all our deposits in the Police Commissioner elections and came second in South Yorkshire; In the 2009 EU election we gained 279,801 votes after a total EU campaign spend of less than £25,000 (giving the English Democrats by far the most cost efficient electoral result of any serious Party in the UK).

  1. £32Bn Barnett block grant is ~50% of the total tax contribution from Scotland a year. Another 43% go in things "Spend on Scotlands behalf" - such as Defence, Crossrail?, HS2?, Trident? Your ignorance or brass neck (do not know which) is astounding. But as one nationalist to another, I wish you luck mate. Vote YES,, and you move closer to Independence - and we can sell you our oil and electricity, to stop your lights going out.

  2. £34bn is ~50% of Scotland tax contribution to Westminster, just because some old farts on the red benches don't know Scotland pays 59Bn in taxes (without oil revenues) to the exchequer is no excuse for a man of your talents getting it wrong.

So according to Channel 4 sometimes Scotland is in the black by a small amount but often it isn't. However we all know that Scottish nationalists have their own version of the facts whether it be revenue, expenditure, future shipyard orders, membership of the EU, a common currency, shared postal services , dual nationality options, continued English subsidies of Scottish wind farms, future research funding for Scottish Universities or anything else that will convince Scottish voters that independence will have no downside, So let us test it with a proper experiment. You all have a chance to vote for independence. Just do it. Off you go pal. We wish you the very best, but please make sure you close the border firmly behind you.

However we all know that Scottish nationalists have their own version of the facts, whether it be revenue, expenditure, future shipyard orders, a common currency, automatic EU membership, dual nationality options, common postal services, shared embassies, shared broadcasting facilities, English consumer subsidies of Scottish wind farms, future research funds for Scottish Universities or anything else that they think will convince a sceptical Scottish electorate tthat independence will have no downside,. Let us, therefore, test these things by the only conclusive method available. You have the chance to vote for independence. Just do it. Off you go pal and god speed. 3. This could backfire on the unionists big-style. The reason the Clyde based yards came off better was only because of the prospect of independence!

  4. I don't think the Scots are so stupid. Every trick they use to try to keep them on board in the Union is now becoming so obvious that I hope they will see Westminster for what it is and head in the opposite direction.

Meanwhile it is predicted that "nationalist" parties will take up to 30% of the seats in next year's euro-elections. When it reaches 50% plus then the european parliament can vote to dismantle the EU. That's when they will probably bring in the troops to preserve what Marine Le Pen has called another Soviet Union. Her man has said that the nation is the most successful way to protect the people and Marine says the French are taking their orders from Brussels, Berlin and Washington ( I think she should have said New York) and no longer from Paris. Marine Le Pen and Geert Wilders have met and Geert has said that mass muslim immigration into Europe was a mistake. Fine, Geert, but what are we going to do about it?

On that score, what a laugh as the Met, MI5 and the border agency all try to track down the terrorist in the burkha. My guess is that, like that other transvestite criminal, he is already back in Somalia. Who at our airports would ever dare asking each burkha-clad person to reveal their identity? It's a total joke.

There have been two reports on immigration. One said that the immigrants of the last ten years have boosted the economy by being less likely to claim benefits than the natives. Well they would if they are illegal and also if they are prepared to work for peanuts which the natives could never afford to do so. The second said that immigrants since 1995 have cost us more in benefits than they have paid in taxes. These are immigrants from outside Europe. This is no surprise. However, what struck me is that it is all about economics i.e. money presumably because it is the OECD and the ruling plutocracy behind it. Russia Today showed demonstrations all over the world yesterday against that plutocracy. The cat is out of the bag and people are beginning to realise what has been going on. No european indigenous peoples have any right to a homeland any more so to talk of immigration in terms of the nation, national identity or nationalism is of course pure evil in the eyes of our rulers.

Meanwhile the Indians are sending a mission to Mars in a ridiculous vanity project whilst their people continue to go hungry and we are sending them aid. Why doesn't somebody tell them that they and other third world nations should be spend such money on birth control to stop their peoples expanding into European territory and sweeping Europeans away.

There is a sign in America that it is now beginning to fracture along the inevitable racial lines. Colarado is to have a referendum for the rural and probably white parts to separate from the multicutural cities. Several other states are planning to secede from the Union as well, including Texas which controls all the oil and gas. I surmise that all these states are majority white and Republican and wish to separate from the Afro-american and hispanic Democrat territory. As whites there get ever closer to a minority this movement will probably accelerate.

  5. I managed to catch prime minister's questions this morning and I noted that before Cameron sat down from talking about this issue he managed to squirt out, that, 'if it wasn't for the union we wouldn't have any battleships at all!' So there you go, this is a political decision all the way. Anyone who says anything to the contrary is either being disingenuous and/or in denial.

They have stated that if Scotland was to separate from the UK the jobs would be reinstated. Apologies for being cynical but I just can't see this happening. Any future ship building projects would most likely be outsourced to a foreign shipyard, a bit like how we're getting foreign companies to build our next generation of nuclear power stations - another piece of gross political incompetence.

These shipyard/engineering skills will be lost forever just like our nuclear expertise was lost. Another piece of our country - an historical piece at that - has been dismantled. A sad day for England.

Since September 2013, this has been out of date. The English Democrats resolved at their annual conference to seek independence for England outside of the UK, not within a federal UK .
Compared to this, St George's Day and the national anthem are trivial. The English Parliament and immigration policy will follow automatically from independence.

  10. If I was Robin Tilbrook I would get myself down to Portsmouth with whoever I could muster and start handing out leaflets, there is bound to be a lot of angry people out there, I also havent seen Robin on the telly being interviewed or being quoted in newspaper articles, that may not be for the want of trying with such a biased press.

Westminsters plan is ultimately destined for failure, the Scottish Government is yet to publish its plan for defence, when it does you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be new ships in that plan and they will have the clyde yards name on them. Portsmouth will be stripped over the coming months with gantries etc being sold to the scrapman and the staff retrained and employed elsewhere, if Scots vote yes then it will not be possible to bring the work back to portsmouth, the choice will be leave the work in Scotland or send it to South Korea where the current Royal Navy Tankers are built.

I always find it highly amusing reading comments on the Daily Mail about how voting UKIP would solve this, they obviously dont understand what the UK in UKIP Stands for, without an English Parliament your country will be left in ruins.

    1. I'm sure the Daily Mail does know what the UK in UKIP stands for.

Ukip has been seriously rattled by Portsmouth and by the English Democrats. It is clear that Ukip has no intellectual answer to the English Democrats demands for English independence

Thursday, 7 November 2013 ... The British government has sacrificed Portsmouth to protect jobs in Scotland because closing the Clyde ..... Just when you thought the English Democrats couldn't get any lower, they pull this [the EDs response to Portsmouth] out of the bag."

      From the bloggers4ukip blog,

"as more discrimination is meted out at the English it is increasingly likely that it is the English who will bring down the union, not the Scots. Opinion polls already show that more people in England want Scotland to declare independence than people in Scotland do and the last major survey into devolution and independence in the UK showed that as many people in England want English independence as people in Scotland want Scottish independence. This is a direct result of the discriminatory policy of allowing Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to run their own domestic affairs whilst refusing to allow England the same right and the British government's willingness to discriminate against England to benefit the Scots (and to a lesser extent the Welsh and Northern Irish).

UKIP's equivocation on reform of the British union is costing the party votes. The last policy agreed by the NEC - still to be made public a year after being agreed - would have the unintended consequence of resulting in a confederation of the type described above to provide democratically accountable government. This is a good thing but the policy is gathering dust on the "to be announced" shelf which means it will probably be revised yet again - another policy agreed in principal that never sees the light of day.

As a party we support an English Parliament - the only serious party to do so - and Nigel Farage publicly confirms UKIP's commitment to equality for England on a regular basis but THERE'S NO MEAT ON THE BONE we need a full, coherent policy on how we're going to reform the British union put into the public domain and a commitment for a high level campaign to accompany it.

The union in its current form seriously disadvantages England and any mainstream party that promises comprehensive reform of the union so that everyone benefits and not just the relative few will undoubtedly be rewarded at the ballot box."

The fact is that the UK cannot be reformed in the way that bloggers4ukip proposes.

Expect a flood of defectors from Ukip to the EDs when the penny drops.

BBC tv news had a short report from Portsmouth yesterday in which the reporter held up a copy of the local newspaper carrying the headline 'Sold Down the River' and saying that there was a feeling that the decision to end naval shipbuilding at Portsmouth was done to appease the Scots in the run-up to the referendum. Understating it somewhat I think. She then quickly said that this was not the feeling of everyone. I got the impression the BBC wanted to rubbish the idea and we quickly had Penny Mordaunt, a local MP spinning the story that now was the time for Porstmouth to move on etc...

The decision to sacrifice England's ability to build its own warships in favour of what may become a foreign nation would not have been taken had there been an English parliament, or even a Minister for England. There is no-one in parliament currently speaking for England, and I mean the whole of England, not just bits of it.

What kind of government is this that makes such a decision less than a year before a possible separation? Even if Scotland votes to stay in a Union, they will use this monopoly to extract further concessions from England. Sold Down the River is a correct analysis. This government and the Prime Minister in particular can only be considered as bent on subverting England strategic interests.

Portsmouth must now be fertile ground for our party, as 'Dave' has said.
I live one and a half hours away but would be willing to go on a leaflet drive there. I was out leafleting in my locality yesterday.

  13. Have just watched Michael Portillo's Great Railway Journeys in Germany and learnt that the English - not the British - built the first railway there in the 1830s. It think I am correct in saying that we also built the first railway in France down the Seine Valley. How sad to know, therefore, that we are now to have our nuclear power stations built by the French and the Germans with Chinese money.

There was another programme on the jet engine and the cold war and an a 50s pilot said that you could always rely on some eccentric boffin in those days in England working away in a shed coming up with some work of genius. Not many boffins in Africa and Asia like that and so once again it is probable that our native genius is on its way down the pan. As with the Portsmouth shipyards all the victims of suicidal politics for reasons of political or financial power by our so-called elected representatives.

And now we learn that our population is due to reach 73m in 25 years due to immigration and the immigrant birthrate. So Scotland can brace itself for more white flight from England. Perhaps this will encourage the Scots to vote for independence in the hope of closing the border; although Alex Salmond's immigration policy probably won't save them, except from the English. Only one third of primary school children in Birmingham are now white a figure that even Enoch Powell could probably never have imagined in his native city.

73m is nearly one and a half times the optimum population for Britain, let alone England where most of the immigrants will end up. Ten million more to be squeezed in in England and there will be barely a square inch of countryside left at a time when there is a world food shortage and we need to grow more of our own food before the Chinese grab the stuff we need to import as they are about to grab the oil in those countries in North Africa and the Middle East left in turmoil by America's and our oil wars.

The black American historian, Thomas Sowell, has recently said that a race war between black and white has now begun. This will undoubtedly accelerate as the European founding population and European power shrink as Europeans near minority status. Thank you Ted Kennedy, how foresighted you were opening America's borders.

Still, it was nice to see Mr Cameron and Mr Milliband looking so uncomfortable at the Royal British Legion's Festival of Remembrance on Saturday evening. Cameron for his continuing oil wars and Milliband in the light of revelations regarding his father's views on the England that gave him sanctuary and which he vowed to change in line with his Marxist ideology. Well he has certainly succeeded there since landing here during the War. He and his acolytes have effectively wiped out the country that saved him from the gas chambers.

  15. The irrepressible Max Keiser on Russia Today has told us what Europe has signed up to via the Transatlantic Free Trade Area agreement, total domination by the big American Corporations as a further takeover of the West by the Industrial-Military and Financial Complex. Europe will be taken over by America from the west and China from the east. In his words sovereignty and democracy are now to be further eroded as they head towards the one world plutocratic government we were told about by Vladimir Bukovsky. My guess is that this is a step towards North Atlantic political union. He has also told us that the European Central Bank has advised the Irish government that the way to deal with their youth unemployment is to get young people to emigrate so they have written to the young asking them to do so. Many will be heading to England without a doubt.

It is hard to couple the word democratic with English when our democracy is now disappearing at a rate of knots. But we are not alone.
True democracy is largely unknown in most of the third world and in China so the aim is to make us all the same, extreme capitalism and
the slaves of a plutocratic dictatorship. It reminds me of German firms in Nazi Germany using slave labour.

But our Anglo-danish blood will not go away until we are finally wiped out in our own country. The task now seems almost beyond our reach but we must keep fighting. For when the whole of England looks like London and Birmingham the battle will be lost. Then it will probably all to easy for them to ditch the democratic institutions that our Anglo-saxon forebears bequeathed to us.

This sounds suspiciously like George Orwell's Oceania, Eurasia and Eastasia.
London might be lost, but Birmingham and other English cities must be recoverable, because where the immigrant population wants to be is London (although they'd probably prefer to live in New York).

Trouble at t'mill - Ukip Or Ukig? Expelled Councillor Chris Cain Forms New Group On Lincolnshire Council

A group of councillors who were kicked out of Ukip have vowed to continue - under the banner of 'Ukig'.

The men have named their group the 'UK Independence Group' - leading to Nigel Farage's party taking legal action.

The five members of Lincolnshire County Council were suspended from the party for following expelled group leader Chris Pain into a breakaway group in September.

A spokesman for Farage told Spalding Today: “We have taken legal advice and Ukip members cannot call themselves Ukig. A breakaway group would be a new party. It’s ridiculous and confusing to the electorate.”

Pain told HuffPost UK the name did not represent a political party, adding: "Nobody's ever contacted me about it... we just changed it last week.

"We could be the Mickey Mouse fan club... it's not a political party."

In September, police dropped an inquiry into Pain after alleged racist comments were posted on his Facebook page. Pain said he had been hacked.

He said he had been kicked out for "whistleblowing" on the party's selection process and for recording a phone conversation with a senior Ukip figure.

"They are trying to use this as a tool to take me out of the party," he added, saying he was taking legal action against his expulsion.

A Ukip spokeswoman confirmed Pain had been expelled from the party, "following a disciplinary procedure".
