DYSON, Ralph; Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts; 281 (Not stood here before)
DICKSON, Paul; Independent; 51
BRISTOW, Clint; (EDL); 29 http://www.rotherham.gov.uk/electionresults Election Results 2011 - Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council

Labour's tribal vote enabled them to claim the victory again, despite the low turnout of 34% and their loss of 6,000 votes, partly because they easily won the Postal Vote. For any party to win a parliamentary election, with the system as it now is, they must have done a full canvass of all the constituency. That takes huge resources of manpower and time! In a by-election there is the additional requirement to have a very deep pocket. Clearly only Labour has these ingredients in Rotherham at present.

UKIP's result is interesting but shows that, even with all that media coverage that they had at the most crucial period in the election, they could not break through in any of the three by-elections yesterday. In Rotherham they doubled their number of votes - probably almost entirely from the Conservatives. This result may yet prove to have been their high water mark - now that they have probably done enough to get Cameron's attention. Expect a determined effort to smash them by Conservative proxies over the next few months!

The BNP only got a third of their previous vote; the Conservatives only a fifth; the Lib Dems only a twelth!

As for the English Democrats, if UKIP had not had so much media coverage, I think we might well have beaten them, even on this our first parliamentary outing in Rotherham, but nevertheless it is the best parliamentary by-election result that we have had both in terms of numbers and in terms of percentage - 3.3% (except the unique one at Haltemprice & Howden).

UKIP had wall to wall coverage for days and have plenty of money so they could spend up to the £100,000 by-election limit. We had a good candidate and a good team of helpers but not yet enough resources to match the bigger parties but it looks likely that we will get a functioning branch out of it - if so it will be time and effort very well spent in the longer run!

A guest post - published in the Rayleigh Times

The Future of England

by John Hayter, Solicitor

The future of England under the Coalition is bleak. Under David Donald  Cameron mass immigration is still at over 500,000 a year. Four million net immigrants (the ones we know about) since 1997 have meant house prices are beyond reach for youngsters, and public services are unable to cope. It costs six times as much to teach a foreign child, who cannot speak English, as is spent on an English child. 93% of immigrants to the UK live in England.
90% of jobs created in 2010 went to immigrants. One million 16 to 24 year olds (mostly English) are not in education, employment or training. England is the most densely populated country in the EU, apart from Malta, and the sixth in the World leaving aside small islands and city states. Still the contemptible politicians do nothing, preferring to talk about such trivia as reform of the House of Lords and gay marriage. Cameron spends £7-8 billion a year on Foreign Aid, yet the English people are denied life saving cancer drugs costing a mere £250 million a year. To rub salt in the wound Cameron has agreed with the EU that immigrants with AIDS will be entitled to free treatment of up to £20,000 a year on the English NHS.
A £49 billion subsidy a year from England under the Barnett Formula is spent on the three Celtic countries of the UK. Scotland receives £1600 a head more than England, Wales £1000 a head, and Northern Ireland £2500 a head. They have benefits in Health and Education, which we are denied.
We still have no English Parliament to prevent England being used by the three main Political Parties for mass immigration, as a mere cash cow for others, and as a free for all for developers. There is little democracy for England. The Prime Minister calls the shots, and his MPs are merely eunuchs doing as they are told, with scant parliamentary scrutiny.
Much law, rules and regulations come from the EU, and the Conservatives, like the other two main parties, use those as a stick to beat the people of England, who yearn to be free. Political correctness has had a devastating effect on English men and women, particularly suppressing  what was once so prized as freedom of speech for an Englishman.
The BBC peddles the Political Establishment agenda of anti-English,  pro mass immigration, pro multi-culturism, pro EU, and political correctness. (Stalin never had a better propagandist). One irony is that the BBC are so eager to embrace the political correctness of Diversity, and yet virtually all their political commentators on television and radio are Scottish!
What of Rayleigh. At the last General Election the Conservatives promised to abolish the targets for new houses and Gypsy and Traveller sites laid down by the East of England Regional Assembly. They promised to give jurisdiction over such back to the District Councils.
The Conservative Rochford District Council, however, have ended up with an approved Core Strategy little different from the one they had under Labour. This involves 2785 new homes in Rochford District on Green Belt, and a Gypsy and Traveller site or sites for 15 pitches in total by 2018. The reason for this has become clear in that Cameron has provided for an extra payment of Council Tax from taxpayers money to the Councils for every new house, caravan and mobile home. In January 2012 he committed £60 million of taxpayers’  money for more than 750 new and improved pitches for Travellers in England.
The proposed locations for the new houses with no corresponding public services or infrastructure are Hall road, Rochford (600), Ashingdon (600), Hullbridge (500), Hawkwell (175), Hockley (50), London Road Rayleigh (550), Canewdon (60) and Great Wakering (250).
The proposed Gypsy and Traveller sites in Rayleigh are one at the junction of A127 and A1245; two sites at A1245 on the right travelling towards Chelmsford just before the junction of A1245 and Rawreth  Lane; one site at London Road just before Little Wheatley Chase on the right travelling towards Rayleigh; and one site at Goldsmith Drive opposite Lords Golf Club, Hullbridge Road. Hockley has two sites, one in Plumberow Avenue.
Frontline services have been cut but the Chief Executive of the Conservative Essex County Council receives £220,000 a year, 12employees are paid over £130,000 a year, and 111 employees over £80,000 a year. £39 million was spent on Consultants in 2009/10, and in 2009 £4.8 million on publicity.
The Rochford District Council Conservative Cabinet of eight Councillors enjoyed the lion’s share of £287000 allowances for 2009/10. That reflected their 158% increase. A pothole only costs on average £50 to mend.

UKIP bracketed as "Hateful" with BNP and EDL!

UKIP bracketed as "Hateful" with BNP and EDL!

Nick Lowles, eminence gris of Hope Not Hate (aka Labour's dirty tricks department) and an alleged associate of far Left terrorists and now the spreader of HATE (not hope!), is at it again!
The skulking keyboard warrior Nick Lowles in his desperation to save his job has turned into the everything he states he hates. He has become a advocate of hatred!

Let me explain. We all know that the BNP are thankfully finished. The English Democrats have cause to thank Hope not Hate for their part in helping us accomplish this. Civic English nationalism will always been thankful for the demise in the British National Party (BNP) as we all want to see a moderate and integrated society in England. However with success comes change and the problem for Nick Lowles' Hope not Hate group is where do they go now their target is nearly killed off? Unfortunately it now looks as if Nick Lowles is desperately casting his 'you are hateful' net to include anyone who opposes the careerists of the Labour Party in his attempts to keep Hope not Hate employees in work or to facilitate nice Labour Party jobs once the BNP finally closes it doors.

Now he's bracketing reasonable and moderate English nationalists (the English Democrats) and British nationalists like UKIP, with the BNP and the EDL.

I know - 'first hand' that UKIP uses unethical and dirty tricks when attacking opponents, especially ones they fear. (The South Yorkshire Police Commissioner election result showed that they are right to fear the English Democrats because we trounced them despite having only a tiny fraction of the resources that they used). I also know that UKIP is a British nationalist party that pretends to be favour of an English Parliament, whilst not formally adopting it, just as the BNP did, to gain votes. But to label both UKIP and the English Democrats as racists and fascists alongside the BNP and the EDL is so ludicrous that Nick Lowles is showing why it has been alleged that he was friendly with the Far Left terrorists who bombed Harrods in 1993 in his past.

To watch Hope not Hate morph into Hate not Hope is very sad as it becomes ever more obvious that their association with the Labour Party and their Trade Union paymasters has perverted their message. Why? Because democracy and the right to express different opinions is essential for English society if it wants to be inclusive. It gives us all hope.

To call anyone without due cause and who disagrees with you a fascist and a racist is hateful.

Yet what will his Unite and Unison Labourite paymasters say about Nick Lowles’ behaviour? Will they say: Nick you have been a very naughty boy and you must go to Coventry, not Rotherham, and not play with those nasty big UKIP boys again? No they won't, as Labour face a serious challenge in Rotherham and are weakened by internal arguments in the local branch.

Now its hard not to say I told you so to Cliff Dixon , Stuart Parr, Jamie Mcaffery, Gareth Young and the rest of UKIP's "black ops team" who thought that snuggling up to Nick Lowles would give UKIP an advantage over the English Democrats.

But they appear to have forgotten Nick Lowles’ Far Left antecedents. So I must commiserate with them now that their reward is to had UKIP bracketed with the BNP and the EDL.

Silly boys! didn't do your homework before playing with fire, did you? You have been used by this Labour Party stooge and in the process have damaged the campaign for a democratic voice for the English nation. Mind you, UKIP are British nationalists and not interested in English concerns so perhaps they won’t be sorry!

Have the English Democrats achieved 'brand awareness' in South Yorkshire?

Although “brand awareness” is a professional marketeer’s expression meaning “the likelihood that consumers recognise the existence and availability of a company’s product or service.  Creating brand awareness is one of the key steps in promoting a product” as is explained in Investopedia. Brand awareness is a very important element in electoral success.

The conventional marketeer’s view is that most people do not recognise a brand until the fifth time they encounter it.  I had a very good example of exactly this in Portsmouth a couple of years ago when, in answering a message I spoke to an OAP in a ward that we standing in.  After listening to him enthuse about our leaflet and say that he was definitely going to vote for us, he complained about the fact that he hadn’t heard about us before.  I happened to know that in that ward we had leafleted twice in the previous two elections that we stood in (it being a multi-member ward) and he had just had a delivery of his fifth leaflet.  He was one of the many people who never listened to local news, never read a newspaper, local or otherwise, and so are very difficult to reach.

It therefore will be obvious that, for a relatively small party of about 3,000 members which does not have a vast amount of resources, it is bound to take  years of effort to achieve brand awareness.

In South Yorkshire however we have the happy combination of having won an important executive office in the Mayoralty of Doncaster and our Mayor Peter Davies has been controversial for all the right reasons, so much so that Labour’s Black Ops team “Hope Not Hate” have said:-

“Removing Peter Davies as Mayor of Doncaster is really important.  Since being elected he has attacked and undermined trade unions, he has blocked funding for Gay Pride, invited the co-founders of the Campaign Against Political Correctness onto his cabinet to get rid of ‘politically correct non jobs’ and has attacked Black History Month and International Women’s Day.”

We have also created brand awareness in Barnsley, following standing there in the 2011 by-election and we now are fully functioning in both Barnsley and in Doncaster.  We are still working on building up Sheffield and Rotherham but certainly hope to achieve the latter in the current by-election.

It is interesting to note however that brand awareness does not necessary translate into actual success - as has been vividly demonstrated by UKIP.  Despite having a national profile and now receiving, if anything, more coverage from the BBC than their electoral results justly entitle them to, they were unable to capitalise on their £100,000 (some said more) spend in the Barnsley Central by-election, where despite a much smaller budget (less than £1,000 all told) we sauntered past them in the Police Commissioner elections.  They hardly registered on second preferences, whereas Labour were very nervous at the count that if second preferences were counted that we might actually win the election! UKIP’s curse is that their brand awareness includes the view that they are a single issue party and therefore suitable only for a protest vote by disgruntled Conservative voters.

The interesting thing about our results in South Yorkshire was that clearly not only were we getting many second preferences from across the spectrum but that many of those who voted Labour as first choice, voted English Democrats as their second preference.  As we have so often said:- “English Democrats – Not Left, Not Right, Just English!”

With excellent timing we now have the opportunity to put our new found brand awareness to the test in the coming by-election, triggered by sleaze over Denis MacShane’s false expenses claims.

If we can encourage those who gave us their second preference vote in the Police commissioner elections to give us their vote in these elections, as well as encouraging the 5,034 Rotherham voters that gave us their first preference vote to now give us their only vote, then, as Labour’s vote will be split three ways, who knows what we can achieve!?

English Democrats' Police Commissioner Results

English Democrats' Police Commissioner Results
Last week the English Democrats sent out a clear statement of intention to the British political Establishment. With a small budget compared to other parties we managed to achieve some fantastic results in the Police Commissioner Election's even in areas where we were up against the big spending phony Anti -Eu party, UKIP! Incredibly we came in second in South Yorkshire, polling a hefty 22,608 1st preference votes and also an overall majority of uncounted 2nd preference votes.

In every area where we stood the English Democrats saved our deposits and chalked up some remarkable results.

These results bode well for our future development; especially with an eye on the 2014 European election's where the form of Proportional Representation actually makes it possible for smaller parties to get elected!

However, we have a long way to go, we need more activists, more organizers and to secure more funding if we are to achieve our full potential over the next few years.
The process of building an effective campaign machine has already started and we need every member to play their part as we continue to grow in confidence, experience and electoral success. The English Democrats are in a great position to make a real difference, given the current situation in this country.

We have Scottish independence looming large and contributing to a re-awakening of true English nationalism. Then we have the dashed hopes of UKIP voters who see nothing but compliance, internal division and broken dreams from them, and as we all know the BNP is a toxic shambles. The next few years could be 'OUR TIME' if we act now and spread our message of sensible nationalism:- ENGLISH NATIONALISM!

A huge thank you to our candidates, their families, helpers and the voters who all put their faith in the English Democrats. Now we must consolidate and move onwards and upwards. Once again to all those who worked so hard…thank you all and well done!

Here is a look at the fantastic results.

English Democratss Police and Crime Commissioner Results:
David Allen, South Yorkshire, 22,608 (15.56%)
Stephen Goldspink, Cambridgeshire, 7,219 (8.15%)
Robin Tilbrook, Essex, 11,550 (6.87%)
Paul Rimmer, Merseyside, 7,142 (5.66%)
Steve Uncles, Kent, 10,789 (5.27%)

Human Rights trumps Political Correctness!

Normally we hear reports of daft decisions by the European Court of Human Rights (often made even more apparently daft by the biased way in which they are reported!). Incidentally I notice that the way the latest lunacy is reported by our media is usually highly demotivating because we very rarely get any message other than we are “powerless to do anything about it”. Whereas, of course, in fact, if we had the political will to do anything about it then we certainly could do so.

So, in a way this story is a good instance of an apparently powerless individual achieving a great victory by sheer determination and willpower. This is the story of Mr Arthur Redfearn’s fight for justice. Mr Redfearn having been considered to be a first class employee, as soon as it became known that he was standing as a council candidate for the BNP, found himself fired on the utterly spurious grounds of Health and Safety (in that somebody protesting about him might injure themselves!).

Mr Redfearn had mixed fortunes before the English legal system. He lost before the Employment Tribunal, I think on the basis that his lawyers failed to challenge the ludicrous Health and Safety argument of his erstwhile employer Serco. He then succeeded in the Employment Appeal Tribunal arguing that he had been racially discriminated against and his Rights of Freedom of expression under Article 10 and of Association under Article 11 of the European Convention of Human Rights had been infringed. He then lost before the Court of Appeal but then took his case to the European Court of Human Rights and on the 6th November, one day after fireworks day, the European Court of Human Rights delivered a bombshell Judgment in which they upheld his right to Freedom of Association and held that right should have trumped all other considerations in a finding of unfair dismissal.

Article 10 and 11 of the European Convention of Human Rights reads as follows:-

Article 101. Everyone has the right to freedom of expression. This right shall include freedom to hold opinions and to receive and impart information and ideas without interference by public authority and regardless of frontiers. This Article shall not prevent states from requiring the licensing of broadcasting, television or cinema enterprises.
2. The exercise of these freedoms, since it carries with it duties and responsibilities, may be subject to such formalities, conditions, restrictions or penalties as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society, in the interests of national security, territorial integrity or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals, for the protection of the reputation or rights of others, for preventing the disclosure of information received in confidence, or for maintaining the authority and impartiality of the judiciary.

Article 11
1. Everyone has the right to freedom of peaceful assembly and to freedom of association with others, including the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests.
2. No restrictions shall be placed on the exercise of these rights other than such as are prescribed by law and are necessary in a democratic society in the interests of national security or public safety, for the prevention of disorder or crime, for the protection of health or morals or for the protection of the rights and freedoms of others. This Article shall not prevent the imposition of lawful restrictions on the exercise of these rights by members of the armed forces, of the police or of the administration of the State.”

This Judgment is a great credit to the tenacity of Mr Redfearn, but is also an excellent legal principle which will help anyone who is a member of any Party or any Association which our currently politically correct masters disapprove of.

All parts of the State, including the National Health Service, Police, etc., now must not discriminate against people because of membership of politically incorrect Associations. Any breach of this requirement will attract an award of damages - if the victim sues. I would naturally urge any such victim to do so! So much for us all being powerless to make a change!

Can you imagine if your local police chief was a Patriotic Englishman?

On November the 15th YOU may have the chance to make this a reality!

The English Democrats are standing five candidates in the forthcoming Police Commissioner elections on November 15th.

They could give YOU the chance to vote to put an end to politically correct policing and to put the police back on the streets.

Our five candidates will be standing in Merseyside, South Yorkshire, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Kent. We will be giving voters a clear five point plan for the restoration of law and order and traditional policing:

1. Resist the government's proposed 15% cuts to police budgets
2. Put more police on the beat where they are needed
3. Cut red tape and bureaucracy that keeps officers off the beat
4. Put an end to political correctness in policing
5. Ensure a zero tolerance approach to crime & anti-social behaviour

At last English nationalists have a chance (however faint) of obtaining a measure of REAL power! We need all true patriots to stand united in these elections.

English Democrats – “MORE POLICE – Catching Criminals!”

I believe that it is criminals that should be afraid not good citizens. I will have ZERO tolerance to political correctness in this area; instead I shall focus our police on traditional English law and order by cracking down on real criminals and gangs.

When I say my priority will be “More Police - catching criminals” I mean it! It’s time we freed the police from their PC shackles and let them get on with the job they are paid to do.

On 15th November, VOTE English Democrats- “MORE POLICE – Catching Criminals!”

Facts about the English Democrats

The English Democrats launched in 2002, we campaigns for a Parliament for England, for a Referendum to leave the EU; for an end to mass immigration; for St George’s Day to be England’s National holiday. The English Democrats are unashamedly English and nationalist.

If you love England, the English Democrats are the party for you! Be part of the future, it’s time to take our Country back!

The English Democrats’ polled nearly 280,000 votes in the last EU elections and as the old ‘nationalist’ parties decline we are growing at a tremendous pace. We are determined to build a better future for our people and I invite YOU to play your part as we raise the standard of St George for our beloved England. We can’t do it ourselves but together we can WIN!

ETHNIC MINORITY FORUM PCC HUSTINGS

On Saturday the 3rd November I was pleased to be invited to Southend High School for Boys to take part in a hustings organised by the Southend Ethnic Minority Forum which is a registered charity number 1116747. They proclaim reciept of funding from Southend on Sea Borough Council and the Ford Britain Trust. Their 'Mission' is stated in their website as being:- “to work to eliminate racial and religious discrimination, to champion the needs and interests of the Ethnic Minority Community, and to promote equal opportunity and harmony in the whole community" . I suspect the irony is unconscious and they aren't aware that the second item is inconsistant with the other two.

Here is a link to their website which appears to be somewhat out of date but the group is still active (click here >>> http://www.semf.info/index.html)

All the candidates were asked searching and, in the main, sensible questions about how policing will be governed after the Police Commissioner Elections.

I was additionally asked questions about English National identity and the direction of travel of English Nationalism.

We had an interesting debate about Englishness and many of the ethnic minority speakers said that they were proud to be British but they didn’t regard themselves as being English.  When I challenged what the situation would be when/if Scotland goes independent and the United Kingdom is thereby dissolved I got a very interesting reaction.  Some of the speakers became very cross at the idea that Britishness might cease to be a possible national identity! Talk about living in denial!

During the hustings the other speakers of our community trotted out all the usual platitudes and tautologies about “valuing” and “celebrating” our ‘Diversity’ of our community.  I made it clear that the English Democrats policy is equality before the law and ‘equal rights not special rights’.

Many of the participants in the Southend Ethnic Minority Forum have had various (seemingly mostly paid) roles within the various consultancy committees which are the products of the British State’s policy of Multi-culturalism!  They were not keen on the idea of ‘equal rights rather than special rights’, as that would impact on their own interests, nevertheless they could see that our policy was a position that it was impossible to openly argue against!

All in all a very interesting meeting!
