English Fools Day Demonstration 1st April

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE AND DIARISING
English Fools Day Demonstration 1st April
The English Democrats are organising a demonstration on April 1st in Whitehall, London outside the Department of (English) Health in protest over continued unfair Prescription Charges - which are going up again on that day in England!
The English Democrats’ Demonstration will take place on Monday April 1st at 10am to 1.00 pm at Dept of (English) Health, Richmond House, Whitehall, London, SW1A 2NS.
The English are now the last nation within the UK not to have free prescriptions as the Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish have all got free prescriptions for all their people. To add insult to injury the Government has announced that it will be putting up the prescription charges from £7.65 to £7.85 in England only.
The cost of NHS prescriptions in England will rise 20p to £7.85 from 1st April. Not only are we English the April fools to allow this but the British government is imposing this as their idea of an Easter present!
Doctors leaders have already said the current system is unfair and needs to be reformed in England – the English Democrats agree.
A British Medical Association spokesperson said last year that the current system needs reforming:-
“It’s unfair for patients as whether you pay depends not only on what part of the UK you live in, but also on what kind of condition you have. The bureaucracy to administer the charging and exemption regime is also cumbersome and costly. The BMA believes it would be best to abolish prescription charges in England altogether.”
English Democrats’ Chairman, Robin Tilbrook, said:- “We agree whole-heartedly with the BMA. Prescription charges should be scrapped in England – just like they have been in the rest of the UK. This is just another example of the anti-English bias of a British government hell bent on profiteering from English taxpayers. The English Democrats are committed to fighting this kind of injustice and getting fair and equal treatment for the English”.
We are attaching a graphic ilustration of this discrimination.

Key facts about the English Democrats
The English Democrats launched in 2002. The English Democrats are the English nationalist Party which campaigns for a Parliament for England, First Minister and Government, with at least the same powers as the Scottish ones within a Federal UK; for St George’s Day to be England’s National holiday; for Jerusalem to be England’s National Anthem; for a Referendum to leave the EU; for an end to mass immigration; for the Cross of St George to be flown on all public buildings in England.
The English Democrats are England’s answer to the Scottish National Party and Plaid Cymru.
The English Democrats’ greatest electoral successes to date include winning the Directly Elected Executive Mayoralty of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council and the 2012 referendum; We won the referendum which triggered a referendum to give Salford City an Elected Mayor; In 2012 we saved all our deposits in the Police Commissioner elections and came second in South Yorkshire; In the 2009 EU election we gained 279,801 votes after a total EU campaign spend of less than £25,000 (giving the English Democrats by far the most cost efficient electoral result of any serious Party in the UK!)

  1. Excellent. The picture is spot on. I believe a similar situation exists with NHS Car Parking charges, the English pay while most of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland do not.

  2. Still think a possible stunt - although a trifle risky - would be for the EDs to notify the press that one of their number was going to go in for his/her prescription and then walk out without paying on the basis that England is the only country where we have to pay. Of course, you would risk being arrested. What does the legal brain say?

  3. Don't let this side show, which is unlikely to get much publicity, detract from the great opportunity which has arisen in South Shields. The Tory brand is toxic in the north east and the Lib Dems are little better, the English Democrats could beat both in David Miliband's old seat.

    1. Thanks for telling me which is David Milliband's constituency, I was going to look it up. It is a pity his brother could not follow him to New York instead of sticking around to impose their odious cowardly, anti-British foreign father's Marxist experiment on
the poor working classes and Britain as a whole.

However, do not hold your breath. Don't forget that Labour are ahead in the polls and the people of South Shields are the sort who would pin a red rosette on a donkey. I see according to Russia Today that Tony Blair is attending the meeting of the world's richest people. That just shows how smarmy New Labour can dupe the good people of the North East.

However, I hate to mention their name but UKIP might be in with a chance there if they can get their message across to Labour voters as they are planning. Just a pity that UKIP, the EDs and the BNP cannot form a Troika. If they could then they would romp home. Still, worth giving it a go. I am sure that the smarmy Milliband is going to New York for loads more cash. That seems to be the only thing our mps - and ex-mps - are interested in. As for Chris Huhne, he should have been kept to be tortured by the old lags and the warders at his prison. But that is the British Establishment for you, they always get off as lightly as possible whilst Jo Public is made to suffer.

  4. Have just discovered that the people of South Shields have been told by Labour Central Office that they will once again be deciding who their candidate will be and he will not be local. No, he will be another graduate Marxist, probably of foreign ancestry. Just the sort of person they don't want.

However, this is good news for those who want to topple Labour. I am sure you will make sure, Robin, that your candidate is as local as they come and preferably blue collar and definitely not a graduate. So will UKIP probably after hearing the news. Still the best of luck.

  5. If the English Democrats can get up to speed in South Shields, they should do well, even come second. UKIP might be on a roll, but it is anti-English while its headquarters are in Devon, and its membership is in the soft poncy south; not the no-nonsense north. The no-nonsense folk of South Shields are unlikely to be happy about a would-be career politician parchuted in by Labour Central Office. That the Labour candidate is going to be imposed is something that the English Democrats can use to advantage. The BNP (they are dead in the water)and UKIP are both anti-English, the Tories and the Lib Dems are discredited, the only credible opposition to Labour in South Shields are the English Democrats. Go for it.

  6. the Di Canio affair at Sunderland FC about being a fascist has raised the question of nationalism as has David Miliband's resignation from the board of Sunderland FC. this plays into the English Democrats' court. nationalism is now at the top of the political debate in the North East. the EDL has also held a rally in the NE, again raising the question of nationalism. everthing augurs well for the English Democrats in South Shields.
