A guest post for Saint George's Day!

HERITAGE is a big thing. Pam Moorhouse, founder of Pam’s County Petition, the official petition of the British Counties Campaign (BCC), feels its loss keenly, having lived through a key part of its destruction.

“Do people in general know that in 1974 Edward Heath's Government FORCIBLY removed and changed all our traditional counties, inherited from our ancestors, and until then known and used by everyone for everything, and replaced them with government-created names instead?” Pam asks.

Accountability is a big thing. Pam adds: “No one in the whole country wanted this change, so by countrywide 'agents' they forced us to have the new county names, by ignoring all objections, only using the new names, and from then on, never mentioning any previous names, so people wouldn't want them back.”

Persistence is also a big thing. As Pam carries on: “This still carries on today, aided by the media, so losing identity, culture, history, how early people shaped and named the land, the ancient names and their meaning lost forever. Why?”

Answers on an email. To please the EU that we are no longer part of? Admin only? Admin. Most people love history, so buildings are preserved by law, yet counties, just as interesting, with their long history, are not, Pam says.

Our rights were enshrined in the bill of rights, 1689, so they say, rights in relation to all of our civil liberties and freedoms. “So why are the changes fair, going against public will when we are a democracy, 'ruled by the people, for the people?'” Pam asks. “What happened was terrible.”

So, we at the BCC say please support our campaign before we lose our precious county identity and information forever. Sign our petition so parliament HAS to debate the subject - www.pampetition.com; see our 10-minute video at www.britishcounties.org/video, where various supporters explain why the traditional counties are important.

Email campaign@britishcounties.org with any comments or questions.

We have about 30 MP supporters and more than 2,500 petition signatories to date. Lords are another target.

We also seek support from and connections with organisations similar to the English Democrats – which does a great job preserving and protecting our heritage, important for all – in Scotland and Wales. In Northern Ireland, county identity has not been mucked around with, so to speak, unlike elsewhere in the UK.

We at the BCC wish readers all the very best for St George’s day, and the year beyond.

AN UNDISCUSSED LONG TERM CONSEQUENCE OF THE RUSSIA/UKRAINE WAR

AN UNDISCUSSED LONG TERM CONSEQUENCE OF THE RUSSIA/UKRAINE WAR?

One of the glaring delusions of liberalism is not only the counter-factual, but the weird idea that all human-beings are fundamentally the same.  Their differences are said to be merely a consequence of social and economic environment.  In this respect liberalism is as delusive as Marxism, which also imagines that human-beings are a product of socio-economic environment.

Of course we are not only genetically different, but also culturally and morally very different.  It is a delusion just to think that because we think in a particular way that people in other parts of the world will do so too.

This delusion has had serious consequences for American led “Western” foreign policy.

An interesting quirk being the arming with modern weapons and the training of the Taliban and the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan to fight the Soviet invasion.

The CIA and other American force projection entities thought they had done very well in arming and funding the Mujahedeen to drive out the Soviets.  They soon found that the same skills could be used around the world against the USA, not only around the world, but also in Afghanistan itself!

This brings me on to a parallel development in Ukraine where the West’s Liberal Internationalist Leaders have all piled in on supporting the Ukraine and without giving serious consideration to anything Russia had to say about it or to Russia’s legitimate interests without any mainstream media even discussing Russia’s point of view. A “balanced” and fair media, should at least discuss the pros and cons of both sides point of view.

I don’t however want to get into the relative merits or into questions of atrocities or anything else relating to the conduct of the war apart from the Western funding and supply and training of militias.

Those that have been paying attention to sources other than the mono-maniacal propagandist mainstream media will realise that there are allegations that the Ukrainian militia are at the very least allegedly “Far Right” and specifically there are some allegations of being “Neo Nazis”.  For an interesting discussion about this see this article in Unherd >>> https://unherd.com/2022/03/the-truth-about-ukraines-nazi-militias/?=refinnar

The consequence of arming and training the Taliban/Mujahedeen in Afghanistan was that there was a very serious upgrade in the military capability of the Taliban and of Islamist fighters such as Al Qaida.

The arming of “Far Right/Neo Nazi” militias in Ukraine may produce an “interesting” similar situation which is likely to impact, not only on the future politics of the Ukraine, but of almost certainly all of Eastern Europe.  This may well spread into Western Europe, if the Ukrainian militias are genuinely Neo Nazi.

In which case they may want to mimic the old Nazi slogan of “Heute Deutschland, Morgan die welt” updated into “Today Ukraine, tomorrow the world”!

Re: Disappointment in Southend West

Re:  Disappointment in Southend West

I am sorry to say that all the patriotic parties that stood were disappointed in the Southend West By-election which took place notionally on Thursday.  Most votes were actually cast well before then, using the postal vote system.

We came 4th with 320 votes behind UKIP with 400 votes.  The Patriotic English vote was split by “Daddy Dragon” and his new party which got 86 votes after a huge effort.  While I expected those 86 would have voted for us if he had not stood, nevertheless neither he, nor the UKIP’s splitter, David Kurten’s “Heritage Party” made any difference, except perhaps to the order of the patriotic parties.

Despite the fact that the By-election was caused by the consequences of the British Political Establishment’s support for mass uncontrolled immigration and for “Refugees Welcome” policies, nevertheless 12,792 voters put their cross against the name of the “Conservative” candidate Anna Firth.

Second place in the results was the 1,084 spoilt ballots!

Anna Firth’s acceptance speech said it all about the British “Centerist” Establishment’s attitude to our democracy, as she praised the other Establishment parties for colluding in not standing candidates!

So the fight for justice goes on and will go on until the English people wake from their slumber and reject what has been done to England by a British Establishment that despises the very name of England and of the English!  KBO!

I would like to thank our candidate, Catherine Blaiklock, and all those who helped and supported us and of course our voters.

One of the few pluses of the By-election was the collapse in the Conservative Party vote which dropped from 27,555 in the December 2019 General Election to 12,792, a reduction of 14,753 votes.  A drop in their vote by well over half demands an explanation; especially when not faced with any of their “Mainstream” British Political Establishment opponents and is after a very big electioneering spend on their part with at least six leaflet drops.

In a Parliamentary By-election the candidates are notionally allowed to spend up to £100,000 on the By-election.  Obviously rich parties, like the Conservatives, are well able to actually spend that amount and may have done so in this By-election. Yet they got a shockingly low vote.  They got below 20% of the votes of the 66,354 registered electors in Southend West!

Such a dramatic drop in actual voters for the Conservative Party in a seat like Southend West cannot just be about the current temporary troubles in the Conservative Party.

The result might be partly a product of all the candidates’ leaflets attacking the Conservative Party record, particularly on immigration and also well publicized leafleting by Patriotic Alternative highlighting the Conservative’s truly abysmal and dishonest record on immigration.

So what we got with the results is an illustration of how negative campaigning against the Conservative Party can be highly effective. We have also seen this in the “shock” By-election results in Chesham & Amersham and Shropshire North, where the Lib Dems campaigned negatively to discourage Conservative voters and also managed to focus opposition voting on them.

In Southend West, as there was no “Progressive” candidate, that did not work, but the results do demonstrate that the dominance of the Establishment parties is now more fragile than it has been for many decades.

The results are in stark contrast to what happened in the Batley & Spen By-election after Jo Cox was killed by a mentally disturbed young man, where the Labour vote held up after a campaign with very little negative campaigning.  I wonder if the same would now happen with a well targeted attack on Labour’s anti-White Working Class, multiculturalist agenda?

I also noticed that yet again the Mainstream Media, Wikipedia, etc. all focus on reporting percentages rather than actual numbers.  This gives a false and deliberately misleading impression of voting patterns, leaving people to potentially suppose that the support for the Conservative Party had actually risen, which of course it did in percentage of voter terms, but collapsed in terms of the numbers of voters viz a viz the number of votes.

For our side we now need to concentrate on developing a more effective strategy of attracting the voters to vote for us, as we now seem to have got a basis of strategy to discourage voters for voting for the Mainstream parties.

English PARLIAMENTARY BY-ELECTION RESULTS 2021

PARLIAMENTARY BY-ELECTION RESULTS

In the last three Parliamentary by-elections in a row the vote for the Conservative Party has dropped but not in the way that has been suggested in the Media, which insists upon talking about majorities when there are none.

In the recent by-election in Shropshire North the majority did not vote.  Nor did the majority vote in either of the previous two by-elections, with turnout below 50%.  “Turnout” does not take account of the fact that the Electoral Commission thinks that up to 25% of those that are eligible to vote are not on the electoral roll.  So really a significant majority do not vote.

In Shropshire North what happened was very similar to what had happened in the Chesham and Amersham By-election which is that the Liberal Democrats pursued a successful two-pronged strategy.  The first of those was to suppress the Conservative vote, which Johnson’s behaviour no doubt enormously helped them to do.  The second was to get the “Progressive” vote to coalesce around them.  This can easily be seen from the figures.

In the 2019 General Election in Shropshire North, the Liberal Democrats got 5,643, Labour got 12,495 and the Greens got 1,790, giving a total Leftist vote of 19,928.  I am not sure whether the Shropshire Party who also stood would qualify as a Leftist Party.  Most of these parties which appear to be locally patriotic turn out on investigation to be Liberal Democrats in mufti.  So the total of LibDem, Labour and Green was 19,928, including the Shropshire Party that would be 21,074 vote.

On the 16th December the Liberal Democrats got 17,957, Labour got 3,686 and the Greens got 1,738.  Rejoin the EU got 58 votes.  Interestingly when the Liberal Democrats were pushing for a surge the Shropshire Party did not stand, which I think may suggest that they are simply Liberal Democrats in mufti.  The total Leftist vote therefore in the By-election was 23,439.  The total extra votes for the Left therefore in the Shropshire By-election was 2,365.

By contrast the numbers of voters voting Conservative dropped from 35,444 to 12,032.  This was a reduction in the total number of Conservative votes by 23,412.

18,439 of whom was the reduction in turn-out of Conservative voters.  There was also 1,427 Reform, 378 UKIP, 375 Reclaim and 79 Heritage, who all might previously have been Conservative voters.

It does seem clear therefore that relatively few, if any, voters actually went from the Conservatives to the Liberal Democrats.  Whereas the tactical voting was in favour of the Liberal Democrats.

That leads to at least the encouraging conclusion that the numbers of deluded Left-wing voters in Shropshire North did not increase by any substantial margin, despite what the papers and BBC have tried to tell you!

RESULTS FROM OLD BEXLEY & SIDCUP BY-ELECTION ON THE 2ND DECEMBER 2021

THE RESULTS FROM OLD BEXLEY & SIDCUP BY-ELECTION ON THE 2ND DECEMBER 2021

This was a By-election in which there were two Party Leaders taking part and also the reputation of the Conservative Party Government was at stake.

The recently deceased MP, James Brokenshire, was someone, who (like many Conservative MPs) was selected by his Party and elected on the basis that he was a Eurosceptic.  Once elected he proved in fact to be a Remainer who became a May loyalist and he actively worked to undermine the EU Referendum result.

He was also like most Conservative MPs carrying on mass immigration whilst dishonestly maintaining that they are trying to do something about it!

There was therefore plenty of good reason for Conservative voters to refuse to turnout to vote for the Conservative Party and for his replacement, Louie French, who seems to be cut from very much the same cloth.

There was also the dismal performance of Labour nationally and Kier Starmer, in particular, who is a lacklustre Leader.  Labour’s full-on support for Refugees Welcome and all the Multi-Culturalist agenda has now largely got through to even the least engaged White Working Class voter!

Many LibDem voters also have given up on their former Party on the basis that they actively sought to betray the democratic vote of the country to Leave the EU.

There were therefore very good reasons why the vote in this By-election would be suppressed.

Sure enough if we look at the results which I set out here there was a massive drop in turnout and a drop in the votes of those parties that stood in the election last time.

                                                                      Votes in                 Votes in

                                                                      2021                      2019

34% turnout           69.8% turnout

Conservatives                                                11,189                   29,786

Labour                                                           6,711                     10,834

Richard Tice - Reform UK                             1,432

Greens                                                           830                        1,477

Lib Dem                                                        647                        3,822

Elaine Cheeseman - English Democrats     271

UKIP                                                             184

Rejoin EU                                                      151

David Kurten – Heritage                                116

Christian Peoples Alliance                             108

MRL                                                             94

No drop in turnout greater though than the Conservative drop.  Their candidate was elected on First Past The Post but he got only slightly over a third of the votes that they got last time in 2019 and only about 17% of the electorate voted for him.

What of the two Party Leader candidates?  David Kurten and his newly created Heritage Party only got a dismal 116 votes, despite an active campaign and a full leaflet drop using the Royal Mail free leaflet drop facility which is available for parliamentary candidates.  His result for a Party Leader in an area close to his home gives pause for thought as to whether it is worth standing in any further elections for them (particularly with such a non-descript Party title!).

There was also Richard Tice of the re-badged Brexit Party, now calling itself the meaningless and Leftist sounding name of Reform UK.  He had a light blue rosette but very deep pockets.  From what I could see it looks likely that he spent the maximum spending allowance in a By-election of £100,000.  He had a fully paid and quite a large team of perhaps twenty odd leafleters and canvassers and lots of leaflets, including a 20 page plus booklet, but still only managed 1,432 votes!

Given the amount of money that must be in the bank account following the company when it was called the Brexit Party taking £17.5m during the last EU election, I would expect them to turn up regularly at By-elections and not make any headway, despite massive spending.

With Elaine Cheeseman, standing for the English Democrats, we had an excellent candidate, who, if elected, could have done a very good job as an MP.

We did however suffer from problems with our normal printer who let us down.  We were then rushing to catch up and, although Royal Mail did a reasonable job, we probably only got leaflets distributed to a third of the constituency.

Nevertheless the result we got for a really very small spend of just over £1,000 is, I think, credible and certainly shows that if we had got all our leaflets delivered and were able to equal the leafleting efforts of Richard Tice and Co we would probably have beaten him easily.

The other Right of Centre contender was UKIP, who got 184 votes, despite having a full leaflet drop, demonstrating again that they are electorally over!

Our next By-election would seem to be likely in Southend West which can now be called at any time.

We want to do well in that election, which we may well be able to do, given that the other “Mainstream” parties have announced that they are not standing, as has Richard Tice’s, UK Reform Party.  This will give us a good opportunity which would be a shame to miss.  Please do help us raise enough money to do a good job.
