WHAT THE MEDIA BLACKOUT TELLS US ABOUT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA

WHAT THE MEDIA BLACKOUT TELLS US ABOUT THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA

Donald Trump and his Campaign Team famously developed the expression “Fake News” to comment on the left-liberal, blatant bias of the US mainstream media.

In this country I think the mainstream media are at least as biased as the US media.

For the last three years or more we have had wall to wall and utterly shameless and blatant Remainer bias from the BBC and all the other main broadcast channels on any topic relating to Brexit.

Charles Moore on last week’s Question Time brilliantly exposed the BBC’s and Question Time’s bias against Leavers, whilst the BBC’s Fiona Bruce desperately tried to shut him up!

The mainstream media’s bias however goes much further than disproportionate coverage to include outright censorship of any story which goes against their internationalist, left-liberal bias.

I think few stories illustrate this better than the coverage of our case.

The English Democrats are bringing a High Court case using the Judicial Review procedure to sue Theresa May and the Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union (Case No. CO/1322/2019).  We have a strong case that, according to law, the United Kingdom left the European Union on the 29th March at the expiry of our two year notice period which was given under Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty.

This case is therefore the only realistic chance that we have of getting any real Brexit.  The media are falling over themselves to report displacement activity that cannot make any difference.  For example, as I write this, they are falling over themselves to report about Nigel Farage and his new Party.  The safe fact for the Remain supporting media is that however many MEPs Farage’s Party wins it cannot make any difference whatsoever to whether we are in or out of the EU or on what terms!  Misdirecting Leave support into that cul-de-sac is therefore useful for Remain.

I and numerous others whom I know of have tried very hard to get the mainstream media to report about the case, but with very little success.

This is of course also in stark contrast to the massive and persistent reporting of the much less important constitutional case brought by Gina Miller to require the Government to get an Act of Parliament to permit it to serve the Article 50 Notice.  That case, as I am sure anybody who listened to any of the “news” output of the mainstream media, received literally massive coverage because the Remainers in the media thought that it might derail Brexit.

By contrast our case which may actually get a Declaration that we are already Out of the European Union has only had the Mail On-line do two items about it, both of which were top trending political news stories on-line.

I have been informed that those in charge of the Mail On-line were told by the Daily Mail’s new editor (who is a Remainer) that they were to let the story drop.

The Express On-line also began to cover the story, but again I understand they were told to drop the story by their new owners from the Mirror Group.

Apart from those two media outlets there has been, so far as I am aware, no other coverage at all.

Given the significance of this case I think we can draw some important conclusions from this treatment.

The first is that despite the claims of the mainstream media to report “News”, this claim is quite simply ‘fake news’.  The so-called “News” which they report is subordinate to their propaganda objective of furthering their internationalist, left-liberal bias.

So, any of us that take our understanding of what is going on in the world from the mainstream media is therefore running a big risk that their awareness of news will be so tainted by this propaganda objective that their understanding may well be led into fundamental errors about what is going on.

This of course has important implications for political policy and decision making because our politicians seem to take much of their agenda from what appears in the mainstream media.  No wonder they make such a mess of almost every decision that they are involved in!

Also no wonder so many people are misled into supporting displacement activity!

Another important point to consider is the effectiveness of social media.  Despite not receiving any proper coverage by the mainstream media, we have still been able raise over £80,000 toward the case.  That does enable us to carry on with the case with some confidence.  However against that we have to set what happened with the Gina Miller case where the fake news mainstream media furore led to the funding of a case which cost over £1.2 million!  Social Media therefore is helpful but does not fully compensate us for being completely cut out of the mainstream media reporting.

Last but not least, it also does need to be noted that the Remainer cartel politicians like Yvette Cooper and Tom Watson have been campaigning for social media access to be cut-off for all those who oppose the current British Political Establishment cartel.

Our window of potential opportunity on social media is therefore already being closed off, as the recent treatment of Tommy Robinson so vividly demonstrates!

This of course means that it is urgent to find ways to break through politically before the window of opportunity finally closes on us!

  1. TBH, I really did not understand Trumps constant retoric about the fake media but your case had really opened my eyes.It is quite apparent how MSM has been deciding for years how we vote and what we think. If anything there should be an inquiry into this

    1. An inquiry by whom? I think it would be difficult to find any organisation that could or would.. and I doubt that any findings would be ade public. It simply wouldn't be reported by the MSM.

  2. I think the media are under a D. notice if that is the right term to use.

    1. A "D" notice is suposed to be used in the event a story that may realise a security risk but i've no doubt it's misused.

  3. I cannot remember a time when basic freedoms in the UK were under threat as they are now... freedom to say what you think... to voice an opposing view... to be represented by Parliament and not silenced by it. It is very important that we all take every opportunity now to speak out and take action against this new and dark side of the establishmemt. We are losing that which is very precious about this country: Freedom and Democracy.

  4. Robin, there are many of us praying for your judicial review, and it is referred to regularly in the online comments of the Telegraph and Daily Mail. Let's press on!

  5. What a deluded bunch you sniveling, dishonest Brexiters are. The worst people in our society by a long margin. Long will you be remembered as the people who trashed the UK.

    2. Wrong. It is you remainers who trashed the UK by refusing to accept the 2016 Referendum result. It was YOU who started the lawsuits to thwart Article 50. It is YOU who are throwing spanners in the works and it YOU who is deluded.

    3. Insubstantial abuse from a typical Remoaner NPC. Your ilk have said absolutely nothing of worth in the last 3 years. Despite being obsessed, you literally know nothing about Brexit...you're just trying to "look cool". It's pathetic. Grow up.

Still, I'm glad this court case is bothering you so much. I don't have much confidence that the courts will let it win, regardless of legal merit, but it's well worth a try!

Thank you for confirming the bias of the legal system.
A case should succeed or fail entirely on its "legal merits".

  6. I've said the same for some time now, it's not just the fake news and carefully selected articles that are the real worry but it's the news they aren't publishing that's most concerning.

  7. Good luck in the High Court, Robin.
It is clear that May, Hammond, Lidington, Rudd, Gauke et al. care not for British democracy, our future independence or their own party. Their one concern is for the EU.

  9. How refreshing to have confirmation of my own understanding that we left the EU at 11pm Friday 29th March. That was the cutoff point for all negotiations We should now be trading on WTO rules and having a good Brexit deal from the rest of the world.Good Luck with the campaign.

    1. WTO rules cover only manufactured and other traded goods like farm produce. The UK's output (GDP) is 80% services (like finance, law, IT) and only 20% the rest, and we have a trade surplus with the EU in services, but a deficit (ie we buy more than we sell) in manufactured/farm goods. So if we go out "on WTO terms" that means no trading agreements with any nation to cover 80% of what we do. Economic dislocation will be inevitable. This is not false facts or fake news, it is simple hard reality. Where are Liam Foxe's much vaunted "easiest trade deals in history"?

    2. You are deluded if you think economic dislocation will follow a no deal brexit. The deficit we have with the EU in manufactured and farm goods is a massive bargaining tool. Do you really think the EU want to loose this market ? we are their best customers, who do you think will make up the shortfall for the EU if they refuse to trade with us. It certainly won't be such a big hit for the UK we can trade anywhere once we are out of this corrupt club.

  10. Re social media access - you might want to set up a 'Minds' (free speech alt. to Facebook) account and/or 'gab' (which is the free speech alternative to Twitter. You wouldn't be the first person I follow who is up against The Establishment to be silenced, and all are migrating or mirroring their social media at these two sites. More power to you in your case. I've always said that Brexit is a David and Goliath scenario and you really are at the vanguard of this.

  11. Perhaps we could make a flier with enough of the court details on as possible... we could print them out and start sticking them on lamp posts, shop windows, cafes, trains, buses and taxi's We must start delivering this news to the people who don't go on the internet, and let them know the mainstream media are refusing to publish anything to do with it.

  14. Friends tell me that can not see the link I posted on facebook to one of your videos. I posted it twice. So it looks like some underhanded interference on behalf of Facebook to me. I barely recognize our country any more as a minority is seems can rule over a majority in UK now. Walk all over it in fact And Free speech is not honored anymore. When are these remainer idiots going to wake up to the fact they the undemocratic largely un-elected irremovable EU Presidents and laws only serve the eu? Not even the countries they are supposed to support. All they want is all your money and all your resources and have been asset stripping not only the UK since we had to misfortune to be dragged into the eu but many other countries as are in the same boat as well. Why do people believe this eu empire is a continent it is not? Though Germany is the power base, it is not a country it is political dictatorship. Don't buy anything from the eu countries is my advise. I have been boycotting eu produce since before the referendum. Hit them where it hurts in the Wallet and Junkers bar bill. I love Europe, I hate the eu and I do not consider myself European. Let's hope the 2 party sysem gets caned in the ballot Box next month and at the eu elections if as it looks like we will have to go through them again now

  18. I have enjoyed posting comments and links about this case in MP Twitter accounts. The MP may be under a gagging order, but that does not stop free speach, they cannot ban overseas comment.
I posted a tweet in PM May's account, as a response to Her Brexit propaganda. People only silence others, when they have or continue to commit crime. Same as those who use violence.

  20. Is it not possible to get a few Brexiteer MPs lined up to raise this matter on Prime Minister's Questions where, amongst others, the BBC broadcast it 'live'. It will, possibly, need more than one MP to raise the matter as Squeaker Bercow will surely try and dismiss it!

  21. Do yo have contact with overseas media who would be willing to print what is going on in the UK? I am sure we could overcome the UK government’s hold on the press here. I always thought we had a ‘free press’. Why are they allowing themselves to be controlled by certain people currently in power. Is it for money or are they afraid.
